Peekabooquet n. cupcake was inspired in November 2007 with the birth of my granddaughter, Kylie. Making a flower from a onesie was all it took, although the process was not as easy as the mere idea. I wanted it to be a unique, practical baby gift and every part was to be used. Pink, blue and yellow were far from unique but adding a brown onesie made it special. Silk screening my definition of baby as "purity and joy" made it one of a kind. My other grandchildren, Lee and Carley loved the colors chosen. After finding "made in the USA" companies to supply the products, I opened my first store in May 2008 in Deep River, CT. There, the cupcake baby tights were created along with our socks truffles.
With it’s success and the opportunity in February 2009 to expand, Peekabooquet n. cupcake evolved into a baby boutique in Chester, CT where we continue to create our signature bouquets. Besides books, games and toys, our boutique carries quality, colorful clothing made in the USA and Europe from newborns to toddlers. Kylie and our newest grandson, Zane, are enjoying all the different styles we offer.
As we evolve, we will always strive to provide the best service and products to our customers that are safe, CPSC compliant, of great quality and cost effectiveness. And of course, unique. We take pride in the personal phone calls and e-mails we receive from our customers. Whether it is a request for a bouquet to be sent to Tommy Hilfiger and his wife, a popular television anchor, an excited new grandparent, aunt or friend, we want you as a regular customer. Oh, and after designing the baby cupcake tights, cupcake was added to the Peek a booquet n. (noun) name in dedication to my Dad, for every child he met was adorned as "cupcake". Our signature ladybug, proudly named cupcake, sits happily on a leaf in each bouquet.
